King's expected to trade #7
From ESPN:
From Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports: "Kings have made it privately clear that they expect to trade 7th pick, sources say. 'They're confident they have deal,' one official says."
ESPN's Chad Ford adds this: "I'm told that ideally the Kings would like to find a way to trade this pick for a veteran."
If the Kings do end up trading this pick for a veteran, names like Kemba Walker, Brandon Knight (if he's still available at No. 7), Jimmer Fredette and Kawhi Leonard -- all names that have been listed in the mix for the Kings -- could fall past No. 7.
I predict this deal is with the Blazers; the question is, who is the player? Miller? Camby?

Kings are looking for talent, not cap space.
They barely have enough salary to be at league minimum. More space is counter productive for Sacramento, which isn’t exactly a free agent destination.

Miller and Camby don't match very well with Sacramento's needs
They’re below the cap so they don’t need Miller contract. They’ve got Cousins, so Camby isn’t needed. They might take Batum for the #7 because they’re looking at SF and need perimeter shooting. The SFs worthy of a #7 pick are weak outside shooters and no better than Batum in other areas.
I'm sticking with my earlier trade proposition
If the blazers really want Walker, Miller + Batum + 21 for Udrih + Casspi + #7.
Udrih would be plenty capable as a backup, and would be a great EC and trade asset next year. Sure we downgrade at SF, but Casspi is perfectly acceptable as a backup.
Portland could coast along with their superior talent and stay right with us. Now that Portland woke up, the hammer cometh down.

Woj/Ford sez:
Bucks get #19, Udrih and Stephen Jackson
Bobcats get #7, Maggette
Kings get #10, John Salmons
Ford says Bucks get #9 as well, but that looks wrong to me, so I’ll go with Woj.
Hate the deal for the Bucks, dislike it for Kings, love it for Cats.
so maybe my reaction means Ford is right. We'll see soon, I hope.

Ford changed his mind
The Bucks are rolling the dice with S-Jax; that’s interesting.
The Bobcats are now set up well with picks #7 & #9. I think they might be targeting trading up to #2 to get Derrick Williams.
ok, looks like Ford's retracting his part.
so Charlotte keeps the 9 and still holds the 7, for a basically salary neutral swap of Stephen Jackson for Corey Maggette (both with two years, ~10 mill/yr remaining). Great trade by our very recent ex-GM.

Shaun Livingston's in the deal, too.
So the trade is:
Bobcats get #7, Maggette, for #19, Stephen Jackson, Livingston.
Kings get #10, John Salmons, for #7, Udrih.
Bucks get #19, Udrih, Stephen Jackson, and Livingston, for #10, Maggette, and Salmons
(espn link)
Bobcats win. Bucks lose, but at least Skiles doesn’t go on a murderous rampage having to coach Maggette and Salmons for another year.

#7 pick traded to the Bobcats, Cho is on the prowl.
I’ll be interested to see who the Bobcats acquire with that pick because if Cho hadn’t been fired, that player would probably have been a Blazer. With our luck, he’ll probably turn into a hall of famer or something…
