Talking about the 21st pick, Chad Buchanan said: "I think we're down to about three guards and we've got about two bigs that we like that are still in the mix for us, about five guys total."
Though it seemed to a little unusual to be tipping his hand like that, guards and bigs are what we need. It was making me wonder who exactly are they looking at?
I would say that of the three guards, Darius Morris is a pretty sure bet to be under consideration. Probably Nolan Smith as well. Reggie Jackson could be the other one, though I wouldn't draft anyone with knee issues. Maybe they like sleepers Charles Jenkins or Norris Cole. Or maybe they think Iman Shumpert, Marshon Brooks, or Alec Burks could slip that far.
My preference would be to go big. It seems like they have interest in Faried. I would assume he is under consideration. Vucevic and Jeremy Tyler (though he didn't help himself) could be others. Some mocks have Biyombo or Motiejunas slipping to us. Trey Thomkins, Justin Harper, and JaJaun Johnson, and Chandler Parsons are some of the numerous fringe 1st round 4s that should all be available.
What do you guys think?
