Time To Get Rudy Some REAL "3-Goggles"??

1) We've heard that the genesis of the Blazers' "3-goggles" schtick was a running joke about Rudy Fernandez's poor eyesight.  2) One of the great disappointments of this Blazer season was Rudy's poor 3-point shooting.  Pardon me if this question has already been raised @ Blazer's Edge, but shouldn't we be connecting the dots here?  If Rudy's not already wearing contact lenses while playing, shouldn't he be?

I'm no expert in this field, but I've heard & read that there's a strong correlation between quality of vision and athletic performance.  As they say, "the eyes have it."  I recall reading that elite hitters in baseball tend to have remarkably acute vision--far better than 20-20.  Likewise with great golfers, etc.  So I assume that great long-range shooters in basketball tend to have exceptional eyesight.

If Rudy Fernandez, a 3-point specialist, indeed has poor vision and has been playing sans corrective lenses, that would be pretty shocking to me.  Surely, the Blazers' crack training and medical staff would be all over something as obvious as this.  Er, or would they?
