This free agency isn't the most amazing one to date, but it'll have to do. The top free agent on Brain Wheeler's, John Lund's and Canzano's list is Jamal Crawford. I can't say I blame them. Look what he brings, he brings solid points off the bench and he could be our "Jason Terry". He won the sixth-man last year and was arguably one of the best players for Atlanta.
The trade I have brewed up this summer, and I want to get people thinking about, would be:
Atlanta receives: Andre Miller, Marcus Camby, Rudy Fernandez and a 1st round pick.
Portland receives: Jamal Crawford, Jeff Teague and Zaza Pachulia.
The trade would work, and Atlanta would receive Miller and Camby's combined $17 million expiring contracts along with Rudy and a pick. Not to mention Miller and Camby are great players, they are just getting to old for Portland.
Crawford would be big off the bench, he is a Seattle guy, so him and Roy know each other well. Teague is a fascinating young player who can really be that "Point Guard of the future" guy and Zaza would of course replace camby with his length and experience until Greg Oden can take up the strings.
What do ya think?
