portland can beat LA

the blazers could win a match up with the los angelas lakers if it came down to it. the lakers recent struggles are proving that this team is not the same team as last year. they are very very beat able. if the two teams play portland does have a little confidence over the lakers. they have outplayed the lakers in 3 meetings this year. the blazers have a very long team just like the lakers, and they have a team that on any night can have a different player step up and lead them in scoring and making plays. this is very hard to key on because you dont know who to key on late or if you key on lamarcus or gerald someone else can step up to make huge shots. and dont forget they do have brandon roy on their team and he can step up any given night he is a three time all star. now for the blazers they have a couple guys that are long that they can send at kobe, gerald nic, and wesley and they can all cause problems and if they can find a way to slow the star down and build a lead kobe likes to try and bring his team back him self. this is good because you know who to double late. they also look very slow on ddefense lately, they dont seem to wanna play defense any more looking uninterested and when anything bad happens they wanna look for someone to blame other than themselves. with the size that portland posseses and if rudy fernandez steps up then i think the blazers can step up in the series and come out with a win.

I think

that the Blazers will play the Mavs in round 1, but if they play the Lakers instead, and if they beat them, they are going all the way.

they already tried to help the lakers win the last game

and portland still found a way to pull it out. but i definetly agree with you

Wow.

Really? You really think the Blazers could beat the Lakers in a playoff series. Come on. You said that if the Blazers get a lead then it’d be easy for them because all they have to do is double team Kobe. Well that hasn’t worked out too well in the last couple of years for teams that are better than the Blazers. You also talk about the size the Blazers have. What size? If Camby isn’t healthy they don’t have a center. They have no size. The Blazers can’t and won’t beat the Lakers in a 7 game series.

Awww...Aaron, why ya have to

rain on the parade man? I was all, “Yea, we can kill the Lakers. All they got is Kobe. If we just double team him the Lakers will crumble.” And then you came along with your, “well that hasn’t worked out too well…for teams that are better” blast. And now I’m all, “Nah, there ain’t no way we can beat the Lakers.”

Thanks a lot man…you suck.

I would nearly agree with everything you said

I would not say that the Blazers can’t beat the Lakers in a 7 game series, I would be more willing to say won’t though. I’d put the odds at something like 90% Lakers win, 10% PTB win. We know we can play them very well in PDX as they have only won like 2 of the last 12 at the RG. We also know that Gerald Wallace has been a Laker killer throughout his career. Still, all in all I see the Lakers win either 4-2 or 4-3.

Well, I for one hope the Blazers play the Lakers in the first round

Then we can know for sure.

It doesn’t seem like that SoCal team is playing well right now. But who knows, it could be Phil just playing possum. The man has more rings than fingers, he’s a crafty one.

shift key?

"I want to be traded to a contender" is almost always code-speak for "I'm a loser."

Do you always fail to use caps, paragraphs breaks, etc. while dream-typing?

To tell the truth, this edition of the Blazers couldn’t even beat the Lakers in my dreams.

I still believe in Greg Oden. The Blazers' medical staff? Not so much.

I'd change my handle to "bringback'09," but I'm too lazy.
