Around SBN: Trent Richardson Interviews Fellow Brown Brandon Weeden

Positive notes

1.- Blazers won´t play against the Warrios in these playoffs, and probably will not even play against them again until

2012/2013. Woohoooo!

2º.- Blazers played badly in a togetherly way. Nobody betrayed his teammates by playing good basketball.

3º.- Rollercoasting has its ups and downs. Should be up anyone of the next 8 ones.

4º.- Nate and his players are keeping things under control. Things as expectations.

5º.- Thanks to games like this one Dave won´t lose practice in his psychotherapeutic skills.

6º.- It´s great to see Blazers fans defending their players in bad times. It couldn´t

happen if they wouldn´t have lost games.

7º.- According to Ben´s report, the "Blazers had the largest" something in this game. I don´t

mind whatever it was. Go for all or for nothing.

8º.- Ben made a chart. Charts are great, aren´t they?

9º.- Did Brandon´s song selection "On My Level" set the tone? It would mean his

leadership is still there. You have to like that.

10º.- Nate didn´t execute .... his players! I still don´t know whether it is good or bad, so I will

optimistically consider it good.

12º.- As long  as the Blazers keep losing games we can credit ourselves for being better

coaches than Nate. I have never lost a game, you know.

13º.- Nobody rained on the Blazers parade but themselves. That´s protecting your home

court.

Go ahead!

The blazers did a bang up job of playing rope-a-dope. They don’t want to show their upcoming playoff opponents anything.

i like it here, there, everywhere.

Yeah, what they did was enoug to confuse anyone.

The plan was so well excecuted that at the end they were confused too, which should be considered the icing on the top of the cake.

17) This may allow us to be more well-rested going into the playoffs

18) Babbitt and Armon looked solid in 3 minutes of play

I've noticed a high correlation between the number of times the team does the three goggles and the number of three pointers made.

The correlation is so high as to be impossible to ignore. So clearly those fans that are annoyed by the 3-goggles are not stat-savvy.

On a night like last night

they should consider zero goggles.

if you miss three 3's in a row.

you literally have to put on buck william’s old goggles until you make another one.

Oh No!

…..now that you mention it…why didn’t I enjoy it more? I hate The 3 goggles!

22) the Blazers will be more well rested next season if they play SA or the Lakers

23) I will make more $ selling my playoff tickets for games against the Lakers

unrec for 22 also!

Maintain the faith Blazer fans! If Golden State can win an 1 vs. 8 matchup with a 60 win Dallas team then we can oust the Spurs dammit!!! The night is darkest before the dawn! It ain’t over till it’s over! So on and so forth!

Also rec!!! Your post was well done and refreshing! It is a game and it is best to

look at the bright side of things!

26) If our team defense kryptonite is

point guards taking 35-foot 3s 2 seconds into the shot clock,* we can rest assured that very few playoff teams will ever do that.

  • for the sake of 26) I will assume that this constitutes our only defensive weakness, and I think we can all agree that this is demonstrably true.

27) We've eaten a few too many Chalupas this year anyway

We should really be dropping a few pounds before the playoffs. Except for Patty Mills, he needs to keep the gut for 3 point shooting balance.

28) If we really need a home court playoff win

they can just fly Dave in – the team plays winning ball with him in the house.

Jordan's not a bad guy.. he gave us Gerald Wallace.

29) We finally have another professional team to cheer for when the Blazers lose in the playoffs

30) We can beat the Mavs in the first round, just keep that 6th seed

There’s always one upset in the first round. Give us Dirk and friends; we’ll make that series count. Remember when Dallas almost handed us an upset in 2004 when Damon and Z-Bo went off? Remember their choke job against the Warriors in 07 and when Wade and the refs screwed them in 06? The refs are always against Dallas in the playoffs. They have to slap Mark Cuban around every year come April, it’s in their contract. Give us Dallas and we’ll give you victory.
