I was at the game tonight. The Blazers lost primarily because of lack of commitment, and secondarily, because of poor coaching. But it's the lack of commitment that has reared its ugly head periodically this season that has soured me on this team. Some nights they just go through the motions, and this was one of those nights...which is why my group is not renewing next season...I'm still a fan, but its been too many disappointments and then not playing bxxls out every night that has gotten to me.
As for tonight's game, why wouldn't we use our strengths to exploit their weaknesses? If I was planning to play the Warriors, I'd post our bigger, slower guards up all night long, bring our bigs out, and if there was single coverage, take it to the rack...If doubles came, hit cutters slashing to the basket. This would also slow the game and mean more ball control, so it takes advantage of the Warrior's weaknesses. Just an afterthought: Why, in a million years, would anyone ever even contemplate going under a pick playing against Curry or Ellis?
