Gallinari is way better
And he was already impacting his team at 18 (in milano). From what i saw (ok, i did not watch last two seasons, but each time i saw valencia, last year in eurocup and some acb games, this year in EL mostly) I was disappointed by his development, especially on the toughness side. And he seems to be injury prone (at least last two seasons).
Gallinari shared the injury prone tendency till he had surgery for his back. And anyway he is much better on both sides of the court, he is a competitor, clutch, with a lot of moves and a great agressivity. Batum was ranked higher when they started playing their last season in europe before their draft, and there is a reason why gallinari kept moving up during that season. He is less versatile, but he is much more agressive. Not that i want to compare claver and batum, but blazers need toughness from the bench (think about pendergraph before he had his injury, the whole blazer season could have been way different without it).
Like i ’ve already said, i wish the blazer management have an eye on other spanish prospects, mostly homs (maybe sans, another badalona prospect) who could defintely be a “pg of the future”. But lots of teams will be after him if he keeps improving.
Claver’s rights could interest a few franchises though (especially with the new cba). Teams like philly, toronto. At this point i would trade his rights
