In retrospect, wearing red against an opponent who also wears the color red is probably less effective.

Real bad luck that we played Houston that season.

But seriously, every other color-out that happens around this league is due to the team supplying shirts. This can’t be that expensive.

Historically speaking Portland was too isolated to be a destination for most immigrants, and because it lacks a substantial military presence or industrial center, it wasn’t really affected by the migration of African Americans before and during World War 2 to other west coast cities like Los Angeles or the Bay Area. Waves of migration just rarely hit the Pacific Northwest in general, and Seattle and Vancouver became bigger draws for Asian immigration.
