Most of the country thinks we'll beat Dallas.
Heck, nearly half of Texas does as well. Go Blazers!!!

lol, they had a similar poll like 2 days ago and Dallas was killing us in it.
Funny how one game can change it all. Hopefully we remember that.
the Mavs have got to be seriously doubting themselves right about now
remember our game 6 collapse against the L*kers in the WCF? How long did our team and fanbase take to get over that? (Not sure we have gotten over it, even now) Yesterday’s meltdown will endure as the Mavs legacy for many years to come.

I think you mean game 7?
And you have to consider the differences in circumstance. The winner of that series was all but guaranteed the championship. I think philly?? came out that year from the East. That game had SERIOUS reprucussions as well as both teams had internal strife. As it played out, the Blazers lost and were reshuffled but had they won, Kobe & Shaq woulda divorced much sooner. Winning solves all things. Who knows, maybe we’d have all those 3 2000-2003 champ banners hanging.
Please, for the love of all that is holy, please stop using the following: "Book it.", "FTW", "Epic" & "Fail".
...no seriously--stop.
sorry i didn't bring it back.
this series, counts for little. The blazers can get that first round monkey off their backs, the mavs can reclaim some dignity, but neither team will likely give the lakers a serious run. Still there’s a chance i suppose-that’s why we play the game.

Indiana.
It would have been cold blooded murder. Definitely not a sweep because Conseco Field House was the toughest place to play in the NBA that year, but the Blazers would have dominated the series.
The Dos Equis guy lives life like Chip Kelly calls plays.
I am predicting that we will
yesterday’s epic meltdown will haunt the Mavs for many years to come
after our team’s game 6 meltdown against the L*kers, we were completely ineffectual in game 7
our team and fanbase took an entire decade to regain its sanity

Same with Montana, and Wyoming.

I was at game 2 in 1985
Playoff game down in Dallas, the Mavs had homecourt and were favored. Rolando Blackman had an unconscious game 1 and Portland still nearly won it. Game 2 was led by Dallas most of the way, and they had a 10 point lead with a few minutes left
I remember saying to my buddy “now it’s the Blazer’s turn”
And sure enough, a young Clyde Drexler took the game in his hands and (much like Roy, yesterday) drove the middle and either scored or set up his teammates. I remember Steve Colter hit a big step back 3 pointer. At the end of the night Portland had evened the series and it was going back to Portland for games 3-4 (of a 5 game series)
They showed the replay of the game 4 game-winning shot by Audie Norris, who received a pass from the Glide and knocked down the baseline jumper to seal the victory and Portland was on to the 2nd round for the final time under Dr. Jack. I was listening to the game on my radio in my dorm room and never saw the replay of that sot until many years later. I remember the Dallas radio announcer saying “Audie Norris? Are you kidding me?” and the Maverick’s broadcast cutting away from the cheering MC and going to commercial break, then never returning for a post game show!
I wonder how many Maverick fans still remember that series? Probably not too many, but if any do they’re probably feeling the same sense of deja vu that I am, 26 years later

International poll has 58% of the WORLD going for the Blazers
How much you wanna bet that’s: France, Spain, Australia..

I doubt France.
You think they’d go against the Germans again?

I sure hope most of the country is right.

Heavily skewed poll
Not that I don’t agree with the results, but when ~20% of the poll is from Oregon, it’s heavily skewed in our favor. RIP CITY
RIP CITY - We're back!
Also, check the time
The time you check the results is also significant. At 5pm local, EST and CST, on Easter Sunday, how many casual fans do you think are bothering to vote on an ESPN SportsCrapNation poll about a Dallas/Portland series? Hyped up Blazers fans, though, are going to be all over that. Plus, a significant bump of West Coast love due to time and Blazers familiarity and Blazer Maniac ex-pats all over.
All of that adds up to a poll that is currently (middle of the damn night) heavily biased towards Blazers fans and believers. Check it again Monday night, when everyone’s had a crappy Monday to goof off and vote all over ESPN.com, and I bet it paints a very different picture.
Not to say that any of that above doesn’t mean that I don’t think the Blazers are going to crush in 6 now. And maybe run to the Finals…. A tired boy can dream….

Since Dallas has the homecourt advantage, I'd say the Mavericks have a 60/40 edge over the Trail Blazers.
No matter what, though, Game 5 is a make-or-break game for both teams. Because I don’t see Portland winning a Game 7 in Dallas, the Trail Blazers will have to continue its run by capitalizing with a victory tomorrow; otherwise, it’s bound to be another first-round exit.
"They say it has no memory. That’s where I want to live the rest of my life. A warm place with no memory."
it's tough to beat a team 3 in a row
especially when game 3 is on the road
as usual, I think it will come down to whistles in the 4th quarter. Portland would do well to build themselves a cushion, Monday night. Then not let it slip away again like game 1

People probably think Dallas will fold like they did after Miami came back and stole one.
They’re a different team now, though. We still have to take care of business.
Dre ain't got no love for these pros
Texas doesn't care?
Texas votes: 255 with 55% for Dallas. (140 votes for)
Oregon votes: 891 with 96% for Blazers. (855 votes for)
I realize there are three teams from Texas but still…Oregon’s votes divided by three still equals 255 votes.
Oregon population is 3.8 million – Texas is 24.8 million. Should produce a landslide.
Texas doesn’t care. ; )
