Rudy's nominated for "NBA WTF Play Of The Year"
It was a memorable sequence against the Clippers that ended well.

Voted for Rudy
But I really think the KMart AK47 play should win.
"What we have here, is a failure to communicate."
same
all of those were pretty good. The Lebron free throw miss was great… I don’t even know how that’s possible.
The LeBron play was by far the weirdest... my second pick would be Cousins' shotput
I still think Rudy’s play was overrated in the WTF department. It starts with a trademark Fernandez heads up steal. He played the break right, didn’t anticipate the collision, but recovered nicely and avoided trampling a teammate.
"So in a weird way, not getting an answer was the answer."
Brandon Roy 3/9/11
only 3 real contenders in my book
Missed dunks are a dime a dozen, as are bad passes. The Ally Oop swish is funny, but not really unique, and nothing very interesing or exciting about accidentally handing a ball of early.
So that leaves Rudy, LeBron, and K-Mart/AK. The Rudy play is easily the most entertaining of the bunch, but the true “WTF?” moments have to be the other 2 plays. How do NINE other guys all not realize it was an and-one? sad part for the Wolve’s Wayne Ellington is that he actually is playing it like a live ball, runs in to box out LBJ. But then he sees no one else is moving and therefore he must have been wrong, so he stops too. I still wonder if the Ref didn’t signal 2 shots by mistake when he handed the ball to LeBron.

Yeah, the miscommunication at the free-throw line is easily the most absurd moment of the group.
"They say it has no memory. That’s where I want to live the rest of my life. A warm place with no memory."
It's kind of dangerous watching those while eating lunch
The LeBron one made me inhale part of my sandwich. Out of loyalty I voted for Rudy. Props to the person who submitted it. :-)
Wiggada Wiggada Zers!
I like the Joel Anthony pass to no-where
Blazer’s D had every player covered so obviously the guy in the corner is open…oops I guess that’s why he’s open (he doesn’t exist). It’s okay to look silly (Rudy’s play) but in my opinion it’s better to make our opponent look silly.

Carmelo pokes the ball out of his hands while standing out of bounds
He’s trying to regain control as he goes up for the hoop, and there’s not enough time to recover.
Since Carmelo was out of bounds when he touched the ball, it should have been Utah ball with under a second left (but enough time to get off a shot). It was a clear referee error, but an easy mistake in the confusion and unexpectedness of that event.
Wasn't that KMart?
Rumor has it that Dos Equis first approached Aldridge, but Aldridge turned thrm down because the real 'most interesting man in the world' would not have to prove it in a commercial. - Canis Hoopus 1/7/11
It's the K-Mart part that gets me
Utah is down 5 with 5 only seconds to go, hits a three to cut it to two, and then K-Mart literally just fumbles the ball right into Kirilenko’s hands…who airballs the layup as time expires! Credit to K-Mart for getting a finger on it from out of bounds, but to just fumble it away like that in that situation absolutely blows me away.

the announcers seemed to be saying
that KMart was purposely trying to get AK to accidentally touch the ball while Kmart was till holding it, which would be a technical on Utah. If KMart was trying to do this, it was a clever, but clearly risky, play that ultimately backfired on him bigtime. he got lucky to get just enough of the ball to cause AK to fumble it.

Its funny I just heard a guy on the radio last week who said that one of the main reasons...
people choke when things are on the line is that they think too much.

that's a lot of credit to give to KMart lol

Rudy's in the lead
my objective vote would be for the K-Mart/AK47 play…absolutely bizarre

Something about fitting with a Benny Hill soundtrack...
makes the Rudy play that much better for me. That and Rudy having to step around and hop over two bodies to finish the play lol
i think the best part about that play was wes matthews huge grin on his face.
okay..maybe not the best part…but i couldn’t stop laughing at that.

down to 45%
Lebron is next up with 16%, I don’t think we need to worry. lol, internet votes that have a Blazer as an option are always all messed up.

heck yes
when the Truehoop Scrappy player award voting first started (when I voted) Gerald Wallace was all the way down in seventh. He ended up in 2nd (barely behind Noah) after it was posted here on BE. Let’s keep messing up the voting!
The play where 3 blazers missed a fastbreak dunk was nice too
I think Aldridge was the 3rd one and the game was on espn but I can’t remember what game it was.
If that stands for
“What the Fernandez?” I think he’s a shoe-in.

Definitely had to vote for the LeBron 4 point play.
Sorry Rudy.
I'm gonna be the only A-hole that owns a Nic Batum jersey that doesn't live in France. Awesome.
I must really hate LeBron cuz it makes me quite happy to see Rudy "ahead" of him in anything.
With Russ Humberston, you can't miss.

Lebron's play is easily the most WTF
Porter, Drexler, Kersey, Williams, Duckworth. The greatest starting 5 ever.
Bosh got the most unexpected rebound of his career
Also he should get an assist on that play

i'm sure he did

Bummer! Got beat out by Lebron--
However, I had to watch Rudy’s clip three times laughing out loud every time!
