We could move into fifth if
- We win out
- Denver loses out
- Tie breaker would be on division record, us 10-6, Denver 9-7

Yep, I just noticed that.
I’d love a chance to beat on the Thunder.
thunder could still end up 2nd or 3rd seed
so no matter where we end up – unless i’ts in 8th, we have no idea who we are going to face.
"I want to be traded to a contender" is almost always code-speak for "I'm a loser."

Not looking good, they playing golden state and utah
No one in the world can beat me at RBI baseball 3(nes).
correctrion on 3
Denver has only 1 division game left. if they lose it, they woudl also end up 10-6, and the tie-breaker would be Conference record, which we would win by 2 games (we are tied right now).

Denver has 1 division game left
and is currently 9-6, so if they lose it, they are 9-7 and we beat them on division record.
doh! you're right

Unlikely, but it
would be nice if the standings ended up like this:
Spurs1, mavs2, thunder3, lakers4, with portland getting the 7 seed
I think if LA drops their next 2 / dallas beats houston and loses to NO / NO wins out / we lose to GS / and OKC wins out
I agree that we "could move into fifth"
but the bad thing is that nevertheless we could meet Lakers.
we could meet the Lakers in the 6th seed too.
If we move up to the 5th seed and the Lakers stay at 2, we wouldn’t have to meet them until the WCF’s.
