My son and I are going to the Griz v Blazers game Tuesday. When we bought tickets to this weeks ago, I didn't think much about the meaning of this game. Now, things get interesting!
While I'm NOT one of those that celebrate just getting into the playoffs, I'm glad we'll have SOMETHING to cheer about in this one (maybe two sport counting the Timbers?) town. After all, there's no pro baseball in Pdx (thanks for nothing, city "leaders"...)
I'm also not one who hopes we'll play the Mavs. I think it's bad karma to care about playing against a particular team. It seems to come back to bite you. Just witness the embarrassing Blazer rally in Pioneer Square a couple of years ago when people were so giddy about playing Houston. We all know how that turned out...
Speaking of Gerald Wallace, I can't remember a trade that brought a player to Pdx that made as big an impact as he has-other than #20. RIP Luke!
