..::The Missing Piece Bi-Winning!!::.. aka The Beginning of a Marketing Movement

The Blazers can be a very competitive team for years not just in the Western Conference, but as well as the entire league. We have all the tools to be a Finals Championship-caliber squad, but have been plagued by injuries. If Oden can ever stay healthy and Roy can come back strong after his surgery next season and with the depth that we have now, I truly believe we can defeat teams such as the Heat, Lakers, Spurs, Celtics, and Magic....There is no question in my mind. It may take a couple years but it is definitely possible. Also, I don't understand why you guys all hating on Roy...if you are all really diehard Blazers fans like my self you won't criticize him because of his "bone-on-bone" knee surgeries. He has been our catalyst, our franchise player ever since he's been with us..please keep the faith. Besides, Kobe plays day in and day out with his almost bone-on-bone knees at a high level and Roy could do the same, he does not need to be a spot up shooter. Finally, with the addition of Gerald Wallace (who will help us tremendously on both offensive/defensive ends and tenacity/aggressiveness/team energy), I think the next smart move Rich Cho should make is to acquire Aaron Brooks ($2,016,692;1yr;ex-Duck, Pacific NW connection!!), who has recently been traded to the Suns. AB is just riding the bench right now behind Steve Nash when he should be starting. He was the Most Improved Player last year and led league in 3pters made. I believe he can be that missing piece to our Blazers and to help propel us to the next level (obviously deep playoff runs and Finals). Why do I say this? Brooks is extremely quick and fast, break down defenses, and can run the break extremely well especially with our bigs (LA, Oden) running the floor efficiently and our wings such as G-Wall, Batum, etc. He will offset or be a good complimentary combo to Andre Miller (if we can get Brooks w/o too much or give up Miller possibly). Now, I've heard BRoy has complained that Miller has a hard time knocking down the trey ball and that they both need to dominate the ball to be effective..that is a known fact. However, with Aaron Brooks, he can help spread the floor more with his 3pt shooting and allow BRoy to do his own thing and be effective and when Brooks is on the bench, the team can change up its tempo/dynamic with Miller running the point. I don't know, but maybe try to package Brooks with say Marcin Gortat ($6,322,320;4yrs) or something since we may need a center depending on Camby/Oden situations. Anyways, I truly believe Brooks is our missing piece and if somehow we can get him, this team will BE WINNING!! Try to imagine Brooks, Crash, Batum (if not traded), LA, etc. on a fast break!!! Try to imagine BRoy (when healthy) utilizing his signature crossover and penetrating to the basket and kicking it out to AB for 3!!! Or even Wallace slashing to the basket and kicking it out! Blazers will be unstoppable! Too many weapons, too many speeds/gears, other teams will be on their toes the whole game just guessing. Please Mr. Cho, make it happen BI-WINNING!!! Thank. You.

**Some other deals to consider (Brooks is top priority, but these are just some ideas..don't hate):

-->Trade/sign for DeAndre Jordan ($854,389; 1yr left) and/or Randy Foye ($4.25mill; 2yrs left), Eric Bledsoe ($1.485mill;4yrs left) of LA Clippers. Acquiring DeAndre Jordan could be a steal at his price and only 1 year left on his contract. He could help a lot on defense (blocks/rebs) at center position given that Oden is unhealthy/unreliable again and Camby is getting older. Randy Foye can come off bench and help us spread the floor out by knocking down treys when Miller is resting with Wallace and BRoy's penetrating abilities.

-->Trade with OKC Thunder for Nate Robinson ($4.2mill; 2yrs;another PNW guy and connection with BRoy/McMillan) and any of their big men since they have plenty to be used at center or maybe PF position... Cole Aldrich ($2,126,520; 4yrs), Serge Ibaka ($1,204,200;3yrs), Nazr Mohammed ($6,883,800;1yr), Byron Mullens ($1,204,200;3yrs), and Kendrick Perkins ($6,446,720;5yrs; unlikely though since he was just acquired). Nate Rob and Aaron Brooks are kind of the same, but AB would be a better fit for us...he passes more and can shoot more consistently plus his personality will fit the Blazers mold.

-->Trade/sign for Marc Gasol ($3,573,333;1yr) of Memphis Grizzlies.

-->Trade with Cleveland Cavs for Anderson Varejao ($7,281,818;4yrs, currently out for season). High energy guy can help us tremendously on the boards and blocks with Wallace. Him and Wallace together can bring LOTS of heart and hustle.

-->Trade for JaVale McGee ($1,601,040;5yrs) of Washington Wizards. McGee is young and has great length and athletic ability for rebounds and blocks. He can run the floor extremely well as a big man and with Brooks, Wallace and other guys we will be very quick and athletic on the break (something Coach Nate likes--using smaller lineup and utilizing athleticism which is why they brought Wallace in in the first place...)

-->Trade for Anthony Randolph ($1,965,720;2yrs) or Darko Milicic ($4,325,000;4yrs) and Sebastian Telfair ($2.7mill;1yr) of Minnesota Timberwolves. Randolph could be used the same way as McGee or DeAndre Jordan. Milicic could help at center position with size and defense (blocks).

-->Trade for Jermaine O'Neal ($5,765,000;2yrs) of Boston Celtics and use him at Center for his blocks and rebounds.

Some crazy ideas:

-->Wait or trade for Deron Williams ($14,940,153;2yrs) and Kris Humphries (3.2mill; 1yr) of New Jersey Nets. D-Will is pretty self-explanatory, but Humphries could again be used for his energy, rebounding(!), and blocks at Center position.

-->Trade for Chris Paul ($14,940,153;3yrs;trade rumors in past) and Emeka Okafor ($11,495,000;4yrs) of New Orleans Hornets. Just like the Nets deal, but much better.

NOTE: These deals are all contingent based on Oden's condition and Camby getting older...If Oden can stay healthy it won't be a problem then, but we will probably need another backup center since Camby is on brink of retirement.

What do you guys think, my fellow Blazers fans? Any comments and suggestions will be appreciated, but please don't hate over something you find stupid/ridiculous. These are simply just ideas. However, the Aaron Brooks/Gortat deal would help tremendously or to acquire DeAndre Jordan, Javale McGee, or Anderson Varejao.

You guys remember this??!!!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H08QlVTud24 Do any of you guys remember this? Even though we won, Aaron Brooks still torched us in the closing seconds of the game. I much rather have him on our team than him doing this to us again. He is also an ex-Oregon Duck so him coming back to Oregon would be very welcomed…would hate if an ex-oregon player did this to our home team. He should be on our side, don’t you all agree?

I have zero faith that Brooks is ours, or anyones, missing piece

He is just incredibly overrated here in the Northwest. Sure, he would be a great complementary piece off the bench, but I don’t like smallish scoring PG’s (with no defensive instincts).

Alot of the players you list are close to being expiring contracts looking for pay raises.

Brooks for one is looking for a better contract. One that is expected to be pretty high paying. I don’t believe we will be the one to give it him.

Being a Blazer fan is not exactly healthy.
