Brandon Roy Ready For More Minutes

Matt Calkins of The Columbian reports... ----------------- Roy didn't play against Sacramento Wednesday — McMillan adhering to the team's decision not to put him on the floor on the second half of back-to-backs. However, that restriction could be lifted soon. McMillan said Friday that he was planning on talking to team orthopedist Don Roberts about possibly increasing Roy's minutes and/or letting him play back to backs, adding that the restrictions have forced Roy to approach the game differently. ----------------- Update: Jason Quick of The Oregonian reports... ----------------- Guard Brandon Roy will no longer be restricted from playing in back-to-back games, and the limit on his minutes will be extended to about 25 a game, McMillan said Friday evening after meeting with team doctor Don Roberts. However, Roy will be limited to 15-to-20 minutes when playing in the second game of a back-to-back. ----------------- -- Ben Golliver | benjamin.golliver@gmail.com | Twitter
