Fundamental shift in Blazers identity?

As I've been watch networks that carry NBA games, particularly ESPN I noticed one thing. In all of their previews for upcoming games and in the highlight packages the announcers refer to our team as "LaMArcus Aldridge and the Portland Trailblazers".  I think this recognition for LMA represents a fundamnetal shift in the thinking of the powers that be (see also: National Media and the NBA its self). Before this Brandon Roy was the lead horse that our collective wagon was hitched to as well as our identity. To me, this change in perception comes as not only with a lack of surprise, but with the feeling of inevitablilty. I propose even with a perfectly healthy BRoy that this becoming Aldridge's team was not only a matter of time, but  almost fated. I say this because I think that Brandon's ceiling as a player was reached not long after the draft. He came out of UW as a very polished, finished player who was completely NBA ready. In other words he could make subtle changes and improvements to his game, but nothing that is going to advance his game to new levels. He came out of college with all of his tools rated very good to excellent with an awesome basketball IQ. LaMArcus, on the other hand, came out basically a skilled, soft, outside shooting "4" with huge potential upside. I think a lot of fans either forgot, or never realized that in the draft order LMA was taken 4 picks ahead of Roy. What we've seen from him this season is a quantum leap in his game. And he can get better still. As he improves as a shotblocker, rebounder, and defender I submit that LMA is our allstar for coming years. I just hope the good teammate in BRoy comes out and his ego accepts his new secondary role. I would love to see Brandon become our Manu Ginobli. If he can accept the role I can see Brandon as a perinnial 6th Man of the Year candidate, but thats a discussion for another day
