UPDATED: Przybilla will sit out Portland game because of knee pain
From Jason Quick:
"Charlotte coach Paul Silas on Wednesday held out center Joel Przybilla in the Bobcats game against Chicago after the former Trail Blazers center limped through a Tuesday practice.
Przybilla and the Bobcats will play host to the Blazers on Friday and it is unclear whether Przybilla will play.
UPDATE: "Charlotte center Joel Przybilla will not play Friday against the Trail Blazers because of pain in his surgically repaired right knee."

Mike Cranston, the AP writer who covers the Bobcats, had this to say yesterday
So with #Bobcats without Jack and Thomas, enter C Joel Przybilla. Silas says his knee is “hurting a lot” and may not play tonight.
Aw, I’m sorry to hear that Joel’s knee hurts a lot. He hasn’t been playing any more minutes than he played in Pdx.

Lol. My thought too.

I don't believe for one second
that Joel Pryzbilla would ever fake an injury to avoid playing in a game. If he says his knee is hurting, then I believe his knee is hurting.

before the trade he was 50/50 about retiring
we’ll see what he and his wife decide during/after the lockout
he doesn’t need the money, will he have “love of the game”?
When reached 40 years of following Portland basketball you have, be as passionate of the Trail Blazers you will not!
Agree 100%. He's just not that kind of guy.
He’s been saying all year that there’s still pain.
He’s having trouble with the backup/15 minutes role, so if he decides to continue his career, it’s going to be as the 3rd center/practice guy/mentor. I can’t think of better guy in that role.

Joel spent his usefulness against the Blazers
Joel had a phenominal game against us last week, but unfortunately it looks to be too much for his knee. Too bad. I hope Joel doesn’t cut his career short. Clearly the guy can play well even when hobbled. Come back next year (but dress in red/black).
