Did Dwight Jaynes cost us Gerald Wallace?

I'm upset people.  I'm emotional.  I feel let down in a big way.  Follow me if you will...

All indications are that Jordan was ready to do this deal...that negative national feedback made him pause, and now here we sit on the eve of the deadline having been this close (holding fingers a millimeter apart) to one of the biggest steals of the decade.

One source...ONE...was being cited over and over and over again all day.  It all came back to Jaynes.  We just saw Deron Williams go to New Jersey without so much as a rumor or a rumble.  We know Cho is not leaking this stuff to the media.  One guy had the guy broke the story prematurely...and what was the result?  The result was a flood of negative feedback to Jordan and the Cats, causing them to think twice?  Maybe, maybe not.  But from where I sit Jordan was much more likely to go through with this deal having not heard everyone's opinion on it...and why, you ask, did he have that luxury?

Am I crazy?  Did one of our local media members just cost us our version of the Pau Gasol deal?  Because he wanted to be the first with the scoop???

This trade would have vaulted us to another level.  This trade fell through after Jordan got lambasted for being willing to do it as it stood.  ONE source was cited over and over and over today.  That source was Dwight Jaynes, and this deal did not happen.

Epic fail does not begin to encapsulate the result of these actions if I am connecting the dots correctly.  This trade was a turning point for our franchise, for the better for once.  It was all set up for Cho to rob MJ blind and never look back.  For us to solidify ourselves as a contender in the shifting Western Conference landscape.  But no...Jumpy Jaynes opened his stupid mouth, the Cats get a tsunami of negative feedback, from pundits from their own fanbase from everyone with an opinion, and it just happens to fall through at the last second.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!  Rich needs to put you in a Cho-ke hold Jaynes!!!!

Discuss this theory...go.
