There's an over 5-6 mil shortfall
Harris+Murphy = 20+ mil
Miller+Przybilla = 14+ mil
Cho would have to add Camby, Oden or Matthews (or a combination of 3 low-salaried players) to make this trade happen. I smell a multi-team deal (Cho’s specialty)
Bayless’ 2.3M trade exception can’t be included (I wonder if Rich regrets dealing Jerryd, now?)
Remember this is Jason Quick we’re hearing from…is there fire behind his smoke?
When reached 40 years of following Portland basketball you have, be as passionate of the Trail Blazers you will not!
You are correct.
Quick mentioned this on 95.5 earlier tonight on Canzano’s show and specifically mentioned Greg Oden’s contract as a fit. I highly doubt we’d give up Dre, GO, and Przy for Harris and Troy Murphy. Usually fire behind his moke but Marc Spears and others are reporting the same development on twitter right now.

unless...
you’re getting brook lopez in return
Not sure how I feel about that.
He’s fallen off a bit and I don’t know if a LMA and Brooks tandem could work defensively. Oden is a great piece to add to LMA even after his style change.
Being a Blazer fan is not exactly healthy.
There are very few players i'd be okay with getting in return for Oden
but Brook Lopez would be one of them. is he potentially worse than oden? yes. He’s also a hell of a lot more likely to be healthy. At this point i think it would be an apropriate risk/reward. He’s certainly not chopped liver by big man standrards and he’s young.
That shortfall was what I was looking at when i heard the deal.
Doesn’t seem financially possible unless the deal was larger but even then we don’t have enough assets to fill.
This is the most basic it could be considering the demands.
3 for 3
Being a Blazer fan is not exactly healthy.
Jason Fleming of Hoopsworld chimes in on twitter.
He is saying that the Blazer’s would only need to add $2.5M to make this deal work and that either Babbit, Williams, or Rudy would fit. My vote would be to send Babbit.

Yay for working!
Can’t say I like it, though. I think this teams runs better with Dre, so I’d like to keep him. I’m just saying this trade works.
Now, Przy + filler for Murphy? That I like.
Sorry, Joel.

It also works without Armon.
Pretty sure we saw enough out of Armon in spurts this year, that we wouldn’t just throw him in for the heck of it.
Yeah, I'm with you there
I like Armon. I guess I was just thinking of the depth chart at PG:
Harris, Patty, Armon
I guess, with sending out 4 guys and getting back 2, we can afford to keep Armon around.

They need to just hold onto Oden and wait. I like the deal if we really are just going to let Andre leave
after this year.
Murphy can hit the 3, and I’m sure Harris would step up on a winning team. You can’t blame a guy for sucking in NJ.
Troy Murphy is already what we wish Babbitt would become. Only we don’t have to hope for a miracle.
And murph can rebound too.
