Next game is today at 18:00 CET against Sergio Rodriguez's Real Madrid. Sergio also had a great game (17pt 7/10fg) against Taurean Green's (10pt, 4/8fg) Gran Canaria in the quarterfinals.

His new coach has decided to play him at SF (with some PF moves in offense), putting end to the "man in the middle between SF and PF" curse.
He is also taking more responsabilities in and off the court as team captain. He still lacks lateral quickness and, apparently, passion. Very nice and quite guy.
Claver highlights in that game: http://acbtv.acb.com/video/3573-crey-20102011-copa_del_rey-001-la_exhibicion_de_batman_claver
Gracias Dani!

that little up-and-under move at the rim is not gonna work in the NBA
But the dude clearly has skillz. I wouldn’t mind seeing him and Freeland given a chance in the association.
Both teams played hard and ball don't lie. Rasheed is the Yogi Berra of hoops. We should start calling him Yogi Sheed.
I'm not sure why Portland keeps drafting similar-sized 'tweeners
Batum, Cunningham, Claver, Babbitt—that’s just in the last 2-3 years. Then they signed CJ last month who is even skinnier?
how many stretch 4s (or, stretch 4 wannabes) does one roster need? Of those names only Batum can adequately defend a decent NBA SF
Mr. Cho, please stop the madness before the team is doomed to be beaten down in every playoff series from now until 2020!

Batum is not a tweener

And Claver really has a SF skillset, he was just playing out of position
So really you’re looking at Cunningham and Babbitt getting the opportunity to replace TrOut as that bench Flex4. Defense or Offense.

can Victor defend NBA 3s?
until I see him in the association, I remain unconvinced

I'll bet he can defend bench NBA 3s
Which is all he’d be asked to do for a while.

I agree that he shouldn't be
but Nate occasionally chooses to play Nic at the 4 in a small lineup, so it’s not my idea
as far as I’m concerned, Batum should be the Blazer’s starting SF for the next 10 years, and that includes the upcoming weeks when Brandon Roy returns to the lineup (hopefully, as a 6th man)

I'd be easier to convince of Mathews starting over Roy
if Mathews was a better player. He wouldn’t even need to be better than Roy, per se – but Mathews is just as likely to have a bad game as have a good game.
The caveat here is that if Roy returns to 80% of his previous effectiveness, that would put him in A. Miller performance territory – and would make him the starter by default.

as you probably know by now
I’m not in the camp of “the best 5 players need to be on the floor at the beginning of each half, by default” Especially when the current starting 1-4 are 8-9 games over 500 since Roy has been out.. Brandon can bring his best effort off the bench and still contribute mightily to the team’s success in the second half of the season. Even Roy acknowledged LMA’s dominance and his teammates improved ball movement, during his comments last night
Why interrupt their rhythm if it’s not necessary?
