Roys out, how about Arenas

Gilbert Arenas has been amnestied and now that Roy has retired perhaps Gilbert could step in for a while. Pretty sure we could get him on the cheap... good idea, bad idea? Consult the poll below or comment to express your opinion.

Personally I feel that Arenas would be a strong addition to the blazers and would not only bring us one championship, but, and I am just guessing here, at least five. But in all seriousness I think Gil is a good guy who got in a bad situation in the east, maybe some time west coasting with the blazers would bring his A game back.

Gil...

…is a ball-hogging, immature headcase. There are guys who might be worse in terms of being thugs or being team cancers, but he’s not going to help your team be a winner. I get enough wizards coverage in this area I feel confident saying the Blazers should want no part of him, no matter how cheaply he comes.

You forgot to mention undersized

He’s an undersized two; heck, he’s undersized at the one, which he can’t play.

I don’t think LMA and the current team would put up with him.

Honestly if we could just get a bear in a blazers uniform

I would be all for it

The tensions are so high because the stakes are so low!

That would solve our center problem

Although picture that might just be an unshaven Marc Gasol.

We$ley > Arenas

and I think we can work bench out between Ewill, Smith and AJ. Stay flexible for next season because we’re probably going to have to nearly rebuild the roster.

I've watched him play and don't think I've ever seen any other player shoot 30 ft heat-checks

just out of nowhere like he will. I guess that’s part of how you have those nights when you shoot 6/22 or 8/29. And that was back when he still had his legs.
