I'm sure he came into Portland and the NBA tying to do his best. It's not his fault he got drafted #1 to play for some of the most crazy B.B. fans around, and underperformed due to injury. It's not personal when fans get disappointed too.
It's obvious he will be leaving after this shorted season.
The team has paid him a lot of money for little production, and it's possible he feels obligated to the team. However, I don't think he sees it that way. He has made it know that he is going to wait till he is 100 before coming back to play. I think he'll deliberately stall his progress as much as possible and play at the end of the season. He just has to play enough to show promise.
I predict Nate will want to play Oden as much as possible and save Camby for the playoffs. However, Oden will want C.J. and Camby to take the brunt of the schedule in order to show off and win the ring.
