Why Paul to the Lakers is good for us

Am I the only one who thinks this trade was really bad for the Lakers? Yes, they may have the best back court in the NBA now, but...that's all they are now. Bynum is a good player but in 6 years, he's only played more than 54 games in a season twice (54/65/50/35 in the last 4 seasons). As it stands, their starting 5 are Paul/Bryant/MWPeace/Character/Bynum (yes, that's Derrick Character...who?) and that's with Bynum having NO backup and very few decent free agents still available. And with Gasol and Odom gone, there's no way they're getting Howard. I think they'll be much easier to beat now than they have been at any point in the last 5 years. That being said, I can't help but wonder if Paul and Howard made a deal that Howard wouldn't sign an extension with anyone and would sign with L.A. next year...in which case we're all screwed.
