Roy to Europe?
Can some of our Spanish fans confirm this?
According to the reports from Spanish press, Brandon Roy is in Vitoria this week as a guest of Caja Laboreal team owner.
They want to sign him for the rest of the season. Since they are already out of Euroleague it would be just one game a week in Spanish ACB league.
He will attend Caja - Barca game as a special guest.
Not a smart decision - Dusko Ivanovic is known as one of the most ruthless coaches in Europe when it comes to player fitness...

Uhm, there’s no way he plays in anything more than an exhibition game or something in Europe or something. He won’t join a team as an actual player. Meaning he could participate in their playoffs, etc. I’d be floored if he did that. Dude just medically retired weeks ago. No way.

- 1 or something.

Good for Roy
If he could play once a week for a shortened Euro league season or 2, that might help him ease into retirement.

Ok, I get it...
Roy wanted to be in the starting lineup, and when he was told he’d be amnestied soon, he decided to retire to save face. Now that he’s amnestied, he doesn’t need to retire… He can simply play in Europe and be in the starting lineup.
How’s that for Conspiracy Theory Thursday?
no conspiracy is when pritchard
drafted armon he knew given our deep bench most likely anyone in the late 1st round early 2nd would be with the team long and would probably be let go after a couple seasons so instead of drafting someone good and letting them walk away to another team he reached further down the list hoping to find a player that when we cut him or let them walk, wouldnt help other teams if they signed him.
If he played in Europe
Would his named be pronounced “Brandon Wah?”
"You can walk away from someone who doesn’t love you. And you can walk away from someone you don’t love. But when the love is mutual," Roy said. "The hardest thing is to walk away."

What happened about ending up in a wheelchair?
i think that was the deciding factor in his decision.
WITH ODEN ON OUR SIDE
Not a chance.
He gets paid $15+ million a year for the life of his existing contract. For “not” playing. And granted, he was amnestied, but that doesn’t change his application for medical retirement. The Blazers used the amnesty now because the medical retirement will take a year to go into effect, and the amnesty enabled them to sign Crawford now – not in a year. I imagine the rumors will continue for awhile, as some don’t understand the simple reality that bone on bone in the knee – if one doesn’t change their habits – guarantees knee replacement surgery.
