Two things
1. This series is FANtastic (heck, I am not even a Blazers fans)
2. How do you do it? Where do you get the game footage? What software program do you use?
3. Okay, so three things. One more time, this is fantastic.
...
1. Glad you like!
2. Primarily I get game footage by recording it on my cable box. However I am moving to NJ next month and trying to figure out a full proof method of getting HD footage. I have a few options but as of right now I just use my TV Tuner which is connected to my cable set top box.
How I do It:
This is kind of hard to explain. Basically I watch the game in its entirety, log the highlights of the game with a little notepad. When I am feeling lazy and don’t want to write something down I memorize it and use ESPN box score to remind me. I then generally will keep a copy of these notes with the file I recorded (game that was just watched) so later it isn’t that hard to find highlights (but it usually is hard).
In every shot generally local TV shows it with 3 different angles (with instant replays) and just start mixing the sequence from there. Generally I try to make these videos more personal to the local crowd here. Mix this with general video knowledge (resolution/fps and etc) and that’s where it starts.
Hardest part is music for the exclusive videos as I am incredibly picky with what type of music I use. If it feels lame in the end I will throw out the entire project.
Software Used:
— General Sequence/Final Render: Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5
— Effects/Color Correction/Compositing: After Effects CS5.5
- Audio:—Simple Edits: Adobe Premiere CS5.5/Adobe Soundbooth
-
--More Exclusive Mixes: Pro Tools
— 3d Renders: Cinema4d R12
— Misc Graphics: Adobe Photoshop CS5.5 & Adobe Illustrator CS5.5
I could go into much more detail but it would be like 15 pages long. It’s a lot of work but once you get going with your method of making mixes then it becomes easier… and it keeps me up to speed on editing/software/etc for my thousands of other projects not related to basketball.

Cant get enough
I’ve watched it a few times now. They are talkinga about calling him the preditor, can you change a nickname this far into his career?
Maurice Lucas + Jerome Kersey + Brian Grant = Gerald Wallace
Best acquisition this team has made in a long time.
Porter, Drexler, Kersey, Williams, Duckworth. The greatest starting 5 ever.
