As expected, Portland Trail Blazers coach Nate McMillan announced following his team's morning shootaround that center Marcus Camby will start the 2011-2012 NBA regular season opener against the Philadelphia 76ers at the Rose Garden on Monday night.
A sore knee kept him out of last Wednesday's exhibition game against the Utah Jazz and necessitated a precautionary MRI last week.
Camby will fill out a starting lineup that includes guards Raymond Felton and Wesley Matthews and forwards Gerald Wallace and LaMarcus Aldridge.
