Batum and Blazers to start contract talks in January
Glad to see that the Blazers are planning on paying Batum, love what he adds to the team!

So what's a fair price for Batum?
3-4 years at 6-7 million per year? I hardly think we sign him for 5 years…

I'd like 4 years, and anything under $25 million total

yeah....
my guess is 4 years around $30mil., which I think would be a bargain. If we get the kid for under 5 years at around $6mil, I’d be stoked.
however, he’ll most likely be offered a 5yr/$40mil from us or someone else.

Seems fair for Batum and for the Blazers organization.
Would love 5 years, but Nic doesn’t get a max contract at this point in his career.
