the blazers are a 1st or 2nd round team and our only position that has a huge ? at is the Center position. We all knew that Brandon Roy wasn't gonna play but we didnt know that oden would miss another year, and the main reasons i say that the center is the biggest problem is we have Wesley Mathews and Nicolas Batum at the 2 and Marcus Camby is 37 or 38.
If you look at the blazer's roster you will see no position that doesnt have talent; the blazers are a solid playoff team, but we dont have a true star who plays on the perimiter (Gerald wallace doesn't count). in the NBA you need 2 stars to win a title and thats what im looking for.
What the blazers need is a allstar point guard. I know the blazers have Faymond Felton, but look at how much money we have to spend, right now we have Roy's 16mil contract completely off our salary, and next year we wont have Oden's or Camby's either.
So i would go after Nene, Przybilla, and Dante Cunningham this year. Pryzbilla doesnt have to play more than 8-10 minutes and Cunningham doesnt have to play more than that either and brings extra offense off the bench.
Next year we will have enough money to get Deron williams, Chris Paul or Steve Nash.
The reason i would rather have a point guard than a 2 guard is that we have Wesley Mathews, Eliot Williams and Nicolas Batum to play the 2 and we have Raymond Felton and a few late round picks to play the point.
and if you dont get Nene in 2011 you can get Chris Kaman or another center in the next few years.
