This is what AK has in mind when people talk about "celebrity gossip"
Phase 1: Collect underpants
Phase 2: ???
Phase 3: Profit!
Nah, I just find it to be an interesting article.
If this story involved a player instead of a GM, I assume the comments section at ESPN.com, RealGM.com, or any large sports-related website would be filled with inflammatory rhetoric.
That aside, though, it’s unfair of me to criticize Buford for this incident. Why? Well, ‘cause it’d be hypocritical.
"I Am Mine"
I know, I was just teasing.
But yeah, we’ve all done stupid things. And Buford is still the best dang GM in the biz.

True, nobody’s perfect. Or, as one might say in a drunken stupor, “pobody’s nerfect.”

Hey RC :)
Portland has several free transportation methods to get around town drunk- in a safe manner. Also, at the bars they could have a contest- win the raffle, drive home the faded general manager of your Portland Trail Blazers !
Get it done... Paul.
When did DUI become DWI?
I like DUI better…. (Back in my day Pluto was a plant rabble, rabble, rabble!!!)
Joel Freeland=Stud
this puts it a little over the top of usual DUI/DWI
“Buford, who posted bond and was released early Saturday, crashed into a fence before an officer from the Bexar County Hospital District first responded to the scene, the ABC affiliate in San Antonio reported.
Buford was hired as the Spurs general manager in 2002. The charges included having an open container in a motor vehicle, the report said."
Hit a fence with an open bottle in the vehicle. Nice. Sounds like Timmay just called him to say he was retiring.
Sidenote: Comcast needs to open up distribution so more people don’t need to drive to bars just to watch the Blazers’ games.
put a body on 'em
I have an idea
Lets get him drunk and convince him to give us Blair and parker
(The part of my brain that come up with clever signatures is locked out)
This is disgusting
Driving drunk is awful and I am sick of garbage like this being swept under the rug just because the general populace doesn’t know who RC Buford is.
If the Spurs don’t fire him, it means they support the thousands of deaths due to drunk driving yearly, and that they are happy when people die in such a manner— especially children.
But I also believe in second chances, so after the Spurs (have to) fire Buford, I guess I think the Blazers should hire him just to see if he can turn his life around… no other motive. Just to be nice, we can give him a chance.
FIRE and then let us HIRE BUFORD.
