LaMarcus Aldridge's Charity Game: Rosters Updated, Tickets Available

Photo

The University of Portland sent out a press release on Thursday morning providing updated rosters for the Rip City Basketball Classic, a charity game to be hosted at the Chiles Center on Sunday, Nov. 6 at 7:30 p.m. by Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge.

Rosters have also been expanded, but are subject to change:

Home team: LaMarcus Aldridge, Ray Felton, Jamal Crawford, Wesley Matthews, Josh Howard, Steve Blake, Craig Winder.

Away team: TJ Ford, Brandon Roy, Kevin Durant, Terrance Williams, Chris Johnson, Isaiah Thomas, Nate Robinson, Jeff Pendergraph.

The release also notes that there are less than 500 tickets available for purchase. The Ticketmaster link is here.

Also, remember: The Basketball Jones will be taping a free live show as their Portland tour stop hits On Deck Sports Bar at 4 p.m. on Sunday. Perfect pre-game. Click "attend" on Facebook to join the more than 100 people who have already done so! I'll be there and hope to see you there.

For people asking "who the heck is Craig Winder"...

He’s a former University of Texas player, who also had a short stint in the d-league. Another guard, and with pretty bad outside shooting going by his college and DL stats.

3 Guard lineup in nice

I would like to see Felton, Matthews and Crawford on Blazers with Crash and LA. That lineup would be fun to watch run the court and score Loyola Marymount-style….unfortunatley they’d play D Loyola Marymount-style too!!

D wouldn't be as bad as the warriors

You still have Wes Crash and LA on the court, I’m not too familiar with Feltons D…i know Jamal isn’t exactly the best. That line up would kill in 2K.

How Ironic that BRoy is on the away team.

Everyone (probably including Roy) has the sense that his contract will be amnestied & his playing days in Portland are numbered. Even Lamarcus is finding a replacement for Roy in attempts to recruit Crawford to come play his wing man.

May be reading a lot into it

But I couldn’t help but feel the same. All the other actual Blazers and Jamal Crawford are on LA’s team … even Blake isn’t on BRoy’s team. Plus, the only reason LA would be lobbying for Jamal Crawford is if he thinks BRoy might not be around … otherwise we really don’t need 4 PG’s and 4 SG’s. It’s sad but unless the amnesty clause doesn’t need to be used right away BRoy will probably be gone. If not, that’s fine too but might as well prepare for it … he’ll never be forgotten for what he’s done and will always have a very warm reception at the Rose Garden (as he fully deserves) but it makes too much sense.

CJ and JP on the same squad?

Is it fair that Durant’s team has two I-have-nothing-to-lose bench scrappers for post defense? Somebody better remind them it’s an exhibition game. I still remember CJ clotheslining Dirk in the last playoff game.

and it was awesome!

A few more clotheslines and maybe he wouldn’t have been so untouchable… all the way to his ring!

Isaiah Thomas?

I was hoping for Rick Mahorn.

You're thinking of Isiah Thomas (one "a")

This is the former UW guard, Brandon Roy protege, and #60 pick of the 2011 draft.
