Can't believe there isn't one of these already! Let's get cracking. Obviously the new trade rules may make it somewhat easier to make trades, but I don't expect it to be significantly different.
Portland Receives: Andre Iguodala
Philadelphia Receives: Marcus Camby
Denver Receives: Elton Brand, Wesley Matthews, protected 2013 pick from Portland.
Iguodala vastly improves Portland's wing defense and adds better passing than any of the current non point guards on the roster, hopefully helping to get LaMarcus involved in pick and rolls. Camby's production can be pretty much matched minimum salary level talent, or a small signing like Chuck Hayes. Philly needs to clear up playing time for Thad Young and Evan Turner, and also isn't making money so shedding 20 million in salary helps them here. Denver needs bodies after losing most of the team to China, and Brand (ridiculous salary though he has) allows them to move Nene to center if they can re-sign him.
Portland Receives: JJ Hickson, Omer Asik, CJ Watson, protected pick from Sacramento.
Chicago Receives: Wesley Matthews, Armon Johnson.
Sacramento Receives: Gerald Wallace.
Portland loses a couple of its better, but more expensive, players and replaces them with cheaper and less talented versions. Blazers then amnesty Roy, proceed to suck for this season, and go into the loaded 2012 free agent class with an awesome draft pick and a lot of cap space since Felton and Camby both expire leaving basically just Oden's extension, Aldridge, and Batum.
Trade Drawer Rules:
(1) Explain your reasoning.
(2) All trades must pass salary cap muster under the trade machine. You can create a link to your trade by clicking "save trade" after it succeeds.
