Legal Analysis of Player's Case Against NBA

10

There has been little discussion on this blog of the merits of the players' legal case now that they have decertified the union. Players can sue the owners for anti-trust violations. It seems like, based on the dearth of opinions about the merits of the case, that there is not much legal precedent for this. But the damages are triple what the players are losing in the lockout, so see this link to the salary calculator from a previous blog and times it by three to get an idea of the owners exposure...aka a lot of money. That sounds like some leverage to me.
