Give him credit. Former NBA All-Star point guard Terrell Brandon, a Portland native, is doubling down on the thought that he could fill the empty GM position for the Portland Trail Blazers, an idea he first floated earlier this summer.
Chris Haynes has the delusional optimistic quotes at CSNNW.com.
"First of all, I'm not your typical barbershop owner," Brandon told CSNNW. "There are not many barbershop owners who have done the things I've done such as playing in the NBA and having an understanding and relationships with owners and general managers."
"Yes I am a barbershop owner. Yes I am a dog groomer owner. Yes I am a concert promoter. Yes I am a limo driver. I do all those things myself. That shows leadership qualities and that's what the Blazers need right now," Brandon said.
Brandon has a pretty epic MySpace.com page.
Born in Portland, Oregon, Mr. Brandon's company "Tee Bee Enterprises" was founded in 1980 during his middle school class at Harriet Tubman Middle School. Now 28 years later the owner of the Terrell Brandon Barbershop, CEO of Tee Bee Enterprises and Tee Bee Enterprise Music and a Real Estate developer as well, Mr. Brandon is one of Oregon's consistent entrepreneurs. Today, working with some the best in the industry like, Mrs. Regina Belle, E-40, Too Short, Suga Free, Mr. Brandon has established himself as west-coast new "Godfather" by being in the studio with the likes of Angela Winbush,DJ Quik, Xzibit and B-Legit. Mr. Brandon has strategeticly maneuvered himself up the ladder to music respectability, soon to be the newest music mogul. So look out for Tee Bee Enterprise Music based out of the city of roses, Portland, Oregon!
He also drew some questions from the city of Portland over a vacant building that he owns back in March.
The real question here: Is there a barber in this city who doesn't believe he can be GM of the Blazers?
