53
Alex Kennedy of HoopsWorld.com reports two new names that could be in the mix for the Portland Trail Blazers' open GM job. --------------------- The Portland Trail Blazers continue to search for a general manager. Jeff Bower, Jim Paxson, Larry Harris and Ed Stefanski among candidates. Ed Stefanski is expected be hired as the next general manager of the Toronto Raptors, according to league sources. --------------------- Paxson, a former Blazers guard, is currently a consultant for the Chicago Bulls, where his brother, John, is VP of Basketball Operations. Harris served as the GM of the Milwaukee Bucks from 2003-2008 and is currently listed as a basketball consultant and scout for the Golden State Warriors. He is the son of longtime NBA coach Del Harris. Dwight Jaynes of CSNNW.com has mentioned Paxson's name multiple times as someone who should be considered for the position since former GM Rich Cho was abruptly fired back in May. Bower and Stefanski's names were first raised earlier this week but Stefanski is reportedly not interested and likely headed to Toronto. -- Ben Golliver | benjamin.golliver@gmail.com | Twitter
