I'm not an NBA scout, let alone an International NBA scout,
But why can’t we just bring him over and dump into the back-up PF/C slot? The minutes are there, and that’s some nice insurance. I know he wants guarantees, but that sounds like an agent talking. If you offer him a contract, he’ll come.

FREE FREELAND!
I don’t know about you guys but I’m really excited by the thought of finally having one of our euro prospects being used. It sounds like all of his time in Spain really did a lot for him. Seeing as how he’s considered the best Euroleague big, I definitely can see 25 mpg for him in a PF/C spot.
Please get him to PDX…
Blazers basketball? Just basketball you say? More like a way of life
I recall hearing that as well
Do you think they really consider him better than Dirk, or does that not count NBA players. Not that I’m expecting him to be a Sabonis-like superstar, but another back-up PF/C that could start on most teams would be pretty awesome. Though truthfully I think I’m being very optimistic there as well.

I don't think Dirk is technically in the Euroleague
My understanding is that Dirk only played with the German nat’l team in the EuroBasket, which is a different competition with different teams, e.g. Nic played with Tony Parker on Les Bleu in EuroBasket, but Nic plays for SLUC Nancy, and Parker another team, in Euroleauge. So I think Freeland’s competition for “best big” would be guys like Mozgov, Ibaka, Felipe Reyes, etc.
