San Antonio became only the eighth team in history to win 40 times in its first 47 games! A 70-12 pace! Oh and we play the tomorrow night. Yippie! On the other side of the standings, the bottom side, the Cleveland Cavaliers have lost 20 games in a row and are nearing two records -- for the longest losing streak during a single season (23), and longest losing streak overall (24).
NBA.com sage Fran Blinebury calls us Chernobyl! Now Thats funny. Due to the meltdown of our team from injuries I assume.
Almost every NBA site Ive visited today has something to do with LMAs All Star bid. And most of it was in his favor. I fell good for him, he deserves it. He has been an unsung hero in the past, and nothing will make him be a better player than him getting alot of love from the press on his possible All Star status. Why? Because it prooves to him that everything he is doing is making this happen, and he needs to continue it.
Any way you look at it, Rajon Rondo is the luckiest point guard in the NBA- his team makes him good. Even my grandma could be a good pg on the Celtics. When you got He Got Game shooting 3's, Poison Pierce droppin 30pts a night and KG inside/outside master to pass to, its easy to see how he gets so many assists.
Quote below from Oregon Live:
"Warkentien, who worked for the Blazers for 10 years in several capacities, was NBA Executive of the Year in 2008-09. During this past summer, when Kevin Pritchard's status of Blazers GM seemed tenuous, Warkentien -- then still employed as Denver's vice president of basketball operations -- supposedly asked permission to speak to the blazers and other teams about possible employment."
NBA Executive of the Year in 2008-09?! I ask, Why didnt we land this guy!?
This is just totally random stuff I found interesting.
