I think Joe Johnson

And possibly Stodamire will pan out to be worse. But at the moment, I can’t think of a contract given out last offseason that was such a huge mistake now as it will be 5 years ago. So yeah, they’re right…

Nicolas Batum is the future of the Blazers

Amare? Really?

I don’t know of many people saying that. Granted, the Knicks have cooled off considerably since their hot streak in the first part of the season, but considering the space NYK had cleared, they did a decent job of drawing a big star who’s making the Knicks, if nothing else, semi-relevant in the NBA.

But his deal will be expiring or close to so it could potentially be a vaulable contract

Look at what Houston did with McGrady last year. They brought in Martin, Hill, and a first round pick for McGrady and their back up PF, Laundry.. Not to mention Stoudmire put Knicks Basketball back on the map so the money spent was worth something.

If he goes down this season or next and never regains the level he’s at this year then maybe.

Doctors say IT IS going to happen

They put a timeline for the microfracture surgery to continue to be successful, and by their best guess his knees will last him through a few more years… And is one of the reasons the Suns would not sign him to the long term deal he wanted (Suns were rumered to have offered him 3 year extention).

All moves, or just FA signings?

If you consider that Phoenix essentially traded Amare for Hedo, I think that one has to be worse.

Roy's contract wasn't signed last summer.

I did not say Roy's contract was not worse.

But the article is about “the worst NBA moves of last summer” so Roy’s contract does not qualify in context.

I know, i was just pointing out the pine in the wood, given you kind of scoofed the idea/fact.

I was not scoofing or scoffing at anything, I simply stated a fact.

I apologize for the misunderstanding.

Numerically Blazers Edge is #25

Joe Johnson's contract is by far the worst of all, but Travis Outlaw's contract is the worst mid-sized deal.

Travis is cool

He is worth whatever the Nets pay him.

Both teams played hard and ball don't lie. Rasheed is the Yogi Berra of hoops. We should start calling him Yogi Sheed.

I'm sure Mikhail Prokhorov would like a refund.

So would all the good people in Russia the oligarchs have ripped off

Prokhorov is the archetype of the sleazy robber baron. He got every single nickel the old fashioned way; He bribed, lied and stole it from the Russian people when they down and out. He’s a disgrace to the NBA and in my book he doesn’t warrant his good fortune. But that’s how things work in this new world, don’t they?

Sounds like a winner in life to me.

If you're a pro athlete and you hear that your contract is the worst

made by any team in the league it has to feel somewhat nice. Nice because it means you’re GETTIN’ PAID!

Treat people well because Karma can hit you at any second.

Coundn't of happened to a nicer guy.

If Oden does not give up on the Blazers, we should not give up on him.
