It's kinda upsetting
that the young superstars all get special treatment from the refs except for Greg Oden. For whatever reason he never got the benefit of the doubt.
While I don't begrudge Griffin,
The work the league did on Oden, letting guys hit him hard and calling him for everything, was despicable.
Proud to be a Republican.

Almost enough to give up hope on league integrity.
Oh wait, what?
Sheed used to say that the League
was, “as fixed as pro wrestling”. Sometimes I think he may have been half right.
My favorite teams are the Blazers and any team that is playing the Lakers.

I think it has a lot to do with style of play
Griffin is a slightly undersized, compact athlete who plays in a dynamic and fluid way – which help him get calls because he rarely looks out of control. Greg is 7ft, 280 with long limbs. He looks more awkward and less co-ordinated, despite his incredibly productive play. This clearly hurts him in terms of fouls.
On top of that, Oden had some unforgivable unfair calls against him during his rookie year and early last season. That was certainly a factor, but you can’t put it all on that unfortunately.
after watching that game
I would dissagree with you, as Griffin looked out of control on offense almost all game long. He has the wow highlights, and it is obvious that the leagues refs watch sportscenter.

If this is true
LA should get a lot more calls. I hope it isn’t Stern dictating to refs but it sure seems like it sometimes. I think it is more that refs are human and tend to be influenced by flow of the game, crowd, superstar status, even if they are working hard not to be. This can also work the other way at times. They work so hard not to be influenced they make bad calls to make up for their bias.

I will never give the refs a break
If they are that impressionable and that unprofessional, they shouldn’t be reffing in the NBA. It’s not a hard task to call things by he book without any bias. The refs might want you to think it is, but it’s not. It’s pretty simple to be unbiased…you just do it.
I think it's more that the game is too fast and the refs egos are ridiculous
Mistakes happen to everybody. They need a way to reverse a call after the fact. They sometimes try and give “payback” calls for bad decisions, but it’s not enough. Using this one as an example, they should at least strip the made foul shot and taken Aldridge back to one foul.
On that first free throw, I was wanting LMA to stand up and yell
“Ball don’t lie!!” in true ’Sheed fashion.

First time I've boo'd
like that in a very long time. It’s a joke how many ticky tack fouls are called on players guarding Griffin.
I'm such a loyal Blazers fan that even half my fantasy basketball team is injured.
I thought Brooke Lopez got alot of calls
If Lamarcus got half the calls Black Griffin-Stern got he would be a for sure all star
ALLLL Rudy Then!!!!!
