These trades have all been discussed, I put them together to look at the big picture, and I think they would make the Blazers younger and better for the foreseeable future. Call me greedy but I would like to see all three of them happen before the deadline.
Trade 1: http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yzjy4nf (with filler players or $ or draft picks or Euro players)
Trade 2:http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=4w53bjm (with filler player or $ or draft pick or Euro player)
Trade 3: Anthony Randolph (NYK) to Portland in exchange for 1st round pick and Bayless trade exception (also possibly $ or filler player or Euro player).
Possible trade fillers – Babbit, Armon, Williams and 1st and 2nd round picks and the all mighty PA dollar
Re-sign - Oden, Cunningham, Pryzbilla, and Pendergraph or sign Carl Landry
Blazers line-up for the rest of this year (kind of) but mainly for the beginning of next year
PG – Harris/Mills/ (Johnson, Williams or draft pick)
SG – Mathews/Mayo/Roy (I’m fine with any of these guys taking wide open 3’s)
SF – Batum/Cunningham/ (Mathews or Mayo in a crunch)
PF – LMA/Randolph/ (Pendy or Landry)
C – Oden(?)/Camby/Thabeet/Pryzbilla
Disclaimers (So I don’t get ripped a new one):
Depth chart not in exact order
-Not entirely sold on Patty yet but one of the three should make for a competent back up for Harris
-Mayo’s playing time next year would depend greatly on Roy’s recovery
-Could also move Mayo next year for missing piece if (big if) Roy is anything close to his old self
-Center position is also up in the air depending on Oden’s recovery and the availability of Joel Freeland
What do you all think? Am I a little crazy? Am I full blown crazy? Or do I have it all figured out (least likely)?
