Miami Heat: Best Ever Or Biggest Flop?

As we approach the upcoming season, I keep hearing about Miami Heat and how they are they greatest ever, and they will win all 82 games and break or set every record in the book. And they havent even played yet! Everyone seems to think that they will certainly be the best ever. I am reminded of the season when the L*kers acquired Karl Malone and Gary Payton. It seemed to me a like they were unbeatable but if I remeber correctly they all went home ringless that season.   Ending up with a 56–26 record, they clinched the Pacific Division and entered the playoffs as the number two seed. They defeated the Houston Rockets, Spurs, and Timberwolves in the first three rounds of the 2004 NBA Playoffs, before they succumbed to the Detroit Pistons in five games in the 2004 NBA Finals. Not to shabby. But still not the best for that season. Well, this is what I think we will have going on in Miami and as it turns out, Phil Jackson agrees with me! He has a much deeper NBA memory than I though and he brought up Wilt,Baylor and West who coudlnt win a ring in 4 years of play together! Talent doesnt always win, but teamwork does. Thats why I like our chances, we are built more as a real life team than as a video game team. In the end, teamwork wins out, just like those Pistons beat the overstacked L*kers. Heres a link to Phil Jackson talking about Miami and what he thinks of them winning.

And so, just because I can actually poll people, I will.
