God, I hate this time of year.  I rely on the Blazers for my escapism (football, baseball, etc. don't cut it for me).  And this period between the NBA draft and the start of the preseason always seems absolutely interminable.

Periodically, I log into Blazersedge, hoping to find some scrap there to take the edge off.  Finding no interesting Blazer news, I find myself commenting grumpily re/ Fanposts I have no interest in whatsoever--e.g., trade scenarios, stat breakdowns, or tired Oden vs Durant debates.  (I can't bring myself to even read lame filler like "Blazers Scrubdown" posts--though I appreciate Dave's effort in creating them.)

What I feel like is Punxsutawney Phil--the celebrated Groundhog Day rodent who periodically pokes his head out of his hole only to realize that it's not spring yet.  Nearly every single day, I briefly poke my head out of my cyberspace hole to see if there's anything the least bit diverting at BE re/ the Blazers.  I quickly am forced to conclude that there's nothing shaking.

Please, let it end soon...
