Trade Drawer 8-27
Lets talk business...
Recently, the Boston Celtics announced that they are still interested in attaining Rudy Fernandez to complete their roster at 15. The Blazers want max value for Rudy! We know he is gonna go somewhere. As to where, is only known to psychics of the world! If a trade is to happen between these 2 teams, then here is an idea to chew on Bedgers...
Portland attains rights to:
Kendrick Perkins, Glen Davis, Tony Gaffney
Boston attains rights to:
Rudy Fernandez, Joel Przybilla, and the rights to a Euro Blazer.
Portland gets this done because:
It gives them a solid big man that is young and talented in Perkins, to share duties with Greg Oden. Between the two we should have a healthy rotation! Glen Davis offers a support blanket for Lamarcus Aldridge. He and Perkins have deep playoff and championship experience that is recent! The additional experience that these guys offer could be crucial. Tony Gaffney is a salary throw in, but after checking on his bios, he seems to like defense and has potential. He is listed as a guard now. He is 6'8! Maybe a keeper?
Boston pulls the trigger because:
Rudy is a multi-positional player with excitement! He will bring in the Spani sh (Euro) viewers, which is good for any team! He is a talented player that needs a fresh start! Maybe he can grow some wings in Boston? Joel is a question mark in the trade. Beastyah is either a piece to a bigger puzzle for Boston, or he helps toughen up the already MEAN GREENS! Boston is respectfully old! Sending them a choice Euro pick and Rudy gives them some more youth!
If the Blazers can get Nate Robinson in as part of the trade, I would be in support of this as well given the history of him and Roy.
What are my fellow bloggers opinions...

No way Boston gives up 2 young bigs.
If we get a future 1st round pick for Rudy I’m happy.
Somebody step up! - Mike Rice
Turning Rudy into Turiaf would be a stroke of genius if Cho could pull it off
Still on the Rex bandwagon.
2012 or 2013 Boston draft pick is what we should go for.
We can make it top 5 protected.
Go after Jamal Crawford
Would be a great 6th man and works out with Roy in the off season and I’d bet he’d take apay cut on an extension to play with his buddy.

I am not a Nate Robinson fan, so I'm definitely not all about that.
He’s overrated, and has an attitude problem to boot. He’s exactly the type of player we don’t want in Portland.
Davis and Perkins seem redundant…our frontcourt’s pretty packed these days, and we’d be sending one big man and getting two more, leaving us with Oden, Camby, Aldridge, Cunningham, Pendergraph and then Davis and Perkins, too…it seems like so much depth as to be a waste. I’d like to see us trade Rudy and one or two other guards and maybe get a solid, young point guard, trading quantity for quality.
