TrailBlazers.com Podcast Returns
After a couple month hiatus the TrailBlazers.com podcast returns today. After a small discussion of ethical dating practices we dive right into all of the summer topics, including analysis of this year's rookie crop, the mysteries surrounding Rich Cho and the tough task ahead of him, the Rudy Fernandez situation, the Greg Oden situation, Patty Mills, Wesley Matthews, Martell vs. Babbitt, and much, much more.
You can download the .mp3 right here or head over to Casey's site to stream it.
Odds and Ends:
- You'll no doubt notice the picture-wallpaper at Casey's blog. What you may not know is that the column inches of the podcast page scale out to about ten feet in real height.
- Fair warning: because of some technical voodoo sent by Evil Munchkins of Doom everything I said on this podcast got returned into my ear exactly a second after I said it. Try having that happen and still talking coherently and staying on point for an hour! I'm pretty sure I did OK but if there are any pauses it's just me waiting for myself to shut up.
- I have begun working on the next Blazersedge Mailbag but I am switching tactics just a bit. For this round I'm going to compile your questions and we'll address them in a very special episode of the TrailBlazers.com Podcast next week. (OK, maybe "very special episode" is gilding the lily a little bit. I promise that neither Casey nor I will lose our virginity or have a baby or say no to drugs or reunite with long-lost sisters who have terminal illnesses during the course of the next podcast. But you get the idea.) If you have questions for consideration e-mail them to blazersub@yahoo.com. Please put the word "Mailbag" somewhere in the subject line.
- (We do reserve the right to discover a heretofore-unknown cousin to boost ratings though. Bonus points if it's Cousin Rich.)

everything I said on this podcast got returned into my ear exactly a second after I said it.
This happened to Dwight the other day when he was interviewing Ben on his cellphone (at least , I think it was Golli) You could tell that Jaynes was getting confuzled.
When reached 40 years of following Portland basketball you have, be as passionate of the Trail Blazers you will not!
It's plenty difficult
Background noise or even another person’s conversation you can eventually tune out. But there’s no way to not hear what you JUST said. A good public speaker is always thinking about their next line of attack. That phenomenon drags you inexorably back to the one you just made, which screws up everything. Nevertheless, perseverance and podcasting go hand in hand!

Also, LaMarcus Aldridge did not add 20 pounds of muscle. You'll see him lose 18 pounds in training camp and
maybe notice the 2-3 pounds of muscle he added. That would be if he had perfect nutrition and worked out all summer. Don’t tell me LA didn’t have a few cheeseburgers in the summer.
why do you say that?
not saying I don’t believe you, I didn’t listen to the podcast yet if it was discussed there. I was just curious. I was so hopeful in hearing that before, I wanted to know what was up.
he's wearing it well

That's better than Baron Davis gaining 20 pounds of beard and belly
