Another Back-And-Forth Between Comcast And Sports Fans Coalition

You might remember back in February when I interviewed former Bush Administration senior staff Brad Blakeman, speaking on behalf of the Sports Fans Coalition, regarding the dispute between Comcast and dish providers over the distribution of Portland Trail Blazers games. The SFC is still at it: their latest effort is this Huffington Post editorial which, 1) awkwardly sets out to legitimize the existence of Portland to those living on the East Coast and 2) calls the dispute a "wake-up call for what can happen when content providers and cable/satellite providers merge." In the Huffington Post comments, Tim Fitzpatrick, a spokesperson for Comcast, links to his rebuttal, calling a "flagrant foul" on the SFC. No, seriously. -- Ben Golliver | benjamin.golliver@gmail.com | Twitter
