Given Carmelo's dissatisfaction with Denver, perhaps we could take him off their hands...
- Carmelo Anthony (17 mil)
- future draft pick(s)
Gets Denver a lot of cap room and a good replacement for 'Melo. We get a known quantity (not just great potential) at SF, whose production has gone up in the playoffs rather than down. This trade fits our need to win in the next three years, at the expense of a potential star that we all love but perhaps overvalue a bit. Fixes the Rudy situation also, as a by-product. But the trade works even if Rudy pouts and sits in Europe.
