Blazersedge Scrubdown: Matchup #11
The first round is nearly over, with but one matchup remaining after this. Before we get there, we're engaging in a special head-to-head battle. Remember you can use any Blazer-related criteria you wish to make the call as to who goes on to the second round.
Vote now to send on Michael Holton or Antonio Harvey.

have we reached the bottom of the barrel yet?
I think I hear a scraping sound. I’ve no recall of these guys doin any more than keepin the pine nice and toasty. maybe even wearing some grooves in the pine.
Holton
’cuz I like his current involvement

Holton...
I like both these guys…tough choice.
I suspect most will go with Harvey so I’ll go with Holton.
That and Antonio did sign as a free agent with a certain Purple and Gold team.

Putting Holton and Harvey in a head-to-head matchup is like the NBA schedule! I can just imagine Dave scheduling his scrubdown, "Hmm .. this should get us higher ratings!"
Since Michael Holton and Tone often go head-to-head with one another on Blazer media, this matchup is like scheduling Phoenix at the start of this season, or Houston at the start of last season.
That being said, I go with Michael Holton.
Holton
Maybe I am using the wrong criteria, but Holton was a good back-up till he got hurt and went in the expansion draft. I won’t make this a competition as announcers.
Am I the only one, though, who thought Harvey was a pretty good athlete? A little surprised he didn’t play more, but I didn’t know his game well at all.
Please all forgive my boring post.
he was in a dunk contest
so yeah, he was a pretty good athlete

because I went to school with his sons and played some basketball against one of them.

Holton
Only if he has to sport the black road uni with the red shoes. That was a sweet look back in the day. Especially Clyde’s Avias.
Mainly cause I liked him as coach a UP and he seems like a nice guy.

Holton
Harvey is a nice guy, but his Blazers career is 200 minutes.

Antonio Harvey...
For the several sad seasons he hung around the Rose Garden in the mid 2000’s (when good tickets were easy to get) and glad-hand people who didn’t know/couldn’t remember if he’d played for the Blazers but thought to themselves “damn, that guy’s tall”… and turning that forced familiarity into a radio gig that he’s actually not half bad at.
Story about Antonio: I had this lady ask me, “Who’s that?” when Harvey walked to his lower level seats via the tunnel once. This was before the game where the Blazers came back from 27 down in the first half to beat the Hornets. 2006? I told her, “That’s Antonio Harvey. He played here when Shawn Kemp was a Blazer!” And she said she’d had season tickets for 15 years and she didn’t remember EITHER OF THEM!! Hahaha!
