More like Batum....
Good grief, I love watching this old stuff. I forget how good these guys were.
I didn't mean to turn you on

I think Nic already knows it.
Brandon is one of the best players in the game and if he added this type of defensive intensity to his game… it would be sick.
And no one tell me players only have enough energy to play either offense or defense but not both. It’s modern-player horsepucky. Or Nate McMillan’s excuse for his career offensive numbers. Mr. “I scored 11 points in the ’96 Finals… No, I mean for the whole series.”
Definitely
But one of the reasons I’m such a preposterously huge Batum fan is that he idolizes Pippen and strives to play the game that way. When I say he gets it, I mean that he sees his path to greatness and understands what he’s going to need to do to get there. It’s still a work in progress, however. He’s still a kid.
Man they just don't defend like they used to...
Who plays with that kind of focus defensively anymore? Guys these days get bored after 3 seconds of that kind of effort on that side of the court.
Posterizing Pau since 2008...
I'm with you
The single most frustrating thing for me as a Blazer fan c. 2010 is that I watched and lived or died with those old Bulls-Knicks series. I so often want to scream at the TV because I just don’t see the urgency and intensity, and I just don’t understand why.
Sheesh-the game was so different when Scottie played
Lets see, that was a foul, that was a foul and that was a foul. Every defensive play Scottie makes, is a foul nowadays. I sure miss the old style of play, when you had to actually foul to get a foul.
Ahhh… when bball was bball. Boy the game has changed.

Watching old Pippen highlights last night
I caught Nate getting burned badly, too. Nate would come in and no one would have to guard him. That was always a bonus for the defense.
Batum hasnt shown handles anywhere near Scottie has in this vid
but those blocks were pretty similar
WITH ODEN ON OUR SIDE
They could've shown a few blazers highlights too
He had plenty of great plays as a Blazer. and that charge on Drexler was a blocking foul.
yes I am a homer.
Don't get me wrong, I loved Pip.
But he would foul out of the game in the first quarter today. They just don’t allow people to play defense like that anymore. It’s a shame really.
My favorite teams are the Blazers and any team that is playing the Lakers.
What would Nate say if Batum stole a pass, broke downcourt and shot a three?
NO NO NO TOO EARLY NO NO NO fine.
He'd probably bench him.
Miss or make.
My favorite teams are the Blazers and any team that is playing the Lakers.
