o.k., he had a great rookie season filling in for an injured cp3, but how does that establish him as a frachise PG. There have been a lot of point guards over the last couple of seasons cashing in on one good season only to become overpayed bench players( mike james, tj ford , mo williams come to mind) Now most of those guys are being given away to sign the next promising guard. I understand being intrigued by his rookie season, but to put the fate of your franchise in his hands seems a little premature. I would have loved to have him backing up drea, don't get me wrong, but replacing him? NO WAY! TJ ford can't seem to find anyone who wants to keep him and he is at least proven to be a solid PG in this league. Meanwhile, teams are tripping over themselves to sign kids like Collison. I'm not saying he is going to be a bust, but I am saying that he overachieved last season and with people studying him on tape he is going to have a much tougher go of it. I'm sure he will turn out to be a good player, but from what I'm reading on NBA.com he is going to be the savior of the PAcers. Collison..........REALLY?
