So, word is that the Bulls and Jazz have agreed to a sign and trade for Boozer. Boozer is an unrestricted free agent, right? He can sign wherever he wants. So why do the Bulls agree to a trade with the Jazz? This is giving Utah money for a player that is basically walking away with no contractual obligations to the Jazz. And the same situation with Amare to New York...why are the Suns getting trade exceptions? To me, it appears that teams are getting money when they shouldn't. Like, why don't the Clippers get some sort of trade exception from the Nets' signing of UFA Travis Outlaw?
