Proposed Trade
Following is trade I put some thought in and feel as though it really does benefit all teams involved.
Blazers Get:
David Lee - sign and trade approx 11mil this year
Emeka Okafor - 11.5 mil
Darren Collison - 1.4 mil
Knicks Get:
Rudy - 1.3 mil
Andre Miller - 7.3 mil
Joel Pryzbilla - 7.4 mil
James Posey 6.5 mil
Hornets get:
Marcus Camby - 10.6 mil
Wilson chandler - 2.1 mil
Luke Babbit - 1.3 mil
New yorks 2nd round pick and blazers future conditional 2nd.
If this deal were to go through i would advocate signing Matt Barnes with the MLE (not all of it) as a backup wing. collison would become our starting pg. he is a good defender with 3pt range. A perfect fit alongside brandon. Our big man rotation would be second to none!! with a four man rotation of Lee, oden, lma and okafor we would be so difficult to defeat! although paying okafor for all these years makes me wanna pee out my butt.
Not sure if the hornets would do this trade as they are giving up a lot. though they would be saving 5.6 million and this would bring them below the luxary tax line. This would generate them a TPE of 5.6 mil which they could spend on a SG perhaps a raja bell or Anthony morrow. They could also bring back Tyson Chandler (please CP3) If the reports were true that we almost had CP3 offering nothing more than cap relief and batum I have to believe this trade could be in play. This would make the hornets big time players in next years FA market.

Lee has already agreed to go to Golden State
so this is kind of too late
"I want to be traded to a contender" is almost always code-speak for "I'm a loser."

Good thought......
but i dont see taking on Okafor and Lee’s bloated contracts to justify picking up Collison. We lose to much and don’t gain enough. I do want to give HUGE props for the trade proposal, as soon as i saw N.O. in the trade i cringed……then i noticed there was no CP3 mentioned. Good work man.

Also NO is now below the luxury tax line, with the new. higher revenue numbers.
You can measure skill and talent with your eyes, but productivity is shown through statistics.
COME ON GUYS ISN'T THIS BECOMING OLD
of putting the make believe trades that will never happen. As fans of the Trailblazers we should put pressure on this organzation to improve this team. Two seasons ago this team failed to use the expiring contract of Lafrentz to get better. Instead we as fans were told that they would make a move in the offseason, That moved turned into Andre Miller who never fit into this team and still does not fit. This offseason is more of the same. Miami is desperste to get rid of Beasley and probably Mario Chalmers who is MUCH BETTER UPGRADE OVER MILLER. Chalmers does two things that Nate loves his PG to be able to do………….hit open J’s and play some defense. At least three teams have made alot of inquiries into Rudy Fernandez: Miami,Toronto, New York. Two of teams are currently in talks for a 4 way trade. Miami needs to cut money so they can sign Lebron so they would have taken just about anything to get rid of Beasley and Chalmers.
If this team thinks that it can stand still this offseason and depend on it’s current roster to get healthy and make a run…..we will be out in the 1st rd again. It has not happened in 3 years so what makes them think it would happen this year.
Miller has to go one way or another for this team to improve!

Opinions are like navels, everyone’s got one
When reached 40 years of following Portland basketball you have, be as passionate of the Trail Blazers you will not!
